FWD Life Launches Click To Meet, a New and Convenient Way for Customers To Connect With Insurance Agents Online
Jakarta, April 20, 2017 – PT FWD Life Indonesia (“FWD Life”) today launches Click To Meet, a new innovation in the life insurance industry in Indonesia. Click To Meet is an online feature, available at FWD Life’s website www.fwd.co.id, providing flexibility for customers to choose an agent to match their own personal passion, personality and profile. Customers also have the freedom to select the location and determine the time of the meeting with the agent.
FWD Life President Director Rudi Kamdani explained that FWD Life has taken the time to understand the current public perception toward insurance agents, and hence has set out to introduce a new, better customer experience when engaging with insurance agents. “We are excited to introduce Click To Meet as a concrete manifestation of our commitment to give our customers the ability to choose an insurance agent according to their preference while arranging best time and place to meet at their convenience. This innovation is part of a series of initiatives from FWD Life in building an integrated digital ecosystem which changes the way people feel about insurance,”
Since it first started operations in 2014, FWD Life has been digital-first, with the industry’s first paperless sales platform, digitizing the insurance purchase experience to policy issuance through the use of tablets and utilize the payment gateway. In early 2016, FWD Life launched Digital Agency, a mobile application that supports agents in all aspects of their business processes, from sales, to recruitment and training.
FWD Life Director & Chief Agency Officer Hendra Thanwijaya explained that through Click To Meet, customers can choose to engage with FWD Life agents that shared similar passion and profile thus encouraging stronger chemistry and trust at the first sight before they start preparing insurance and investment plans with FWD Life. Click To Meet will also improve agent performance by ensuring they are matched with customers that they can best serve.”
Rudi also added that FWD Life believes that this innovation can also support the improvement of financial literacy in Indonesia where agents play an important role in providing education on insurance for many Indonesian. The financial literacy level is currently still at 29.6 percent and lagging far behind neighboring countries in Southeast Asia or ASEAN. Moreover, FWD Life strives to support the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to realize Inclusive Finances National Strategy for which the government sets a 75% target for 2019.
“FWD Life will continue to create new innovation supported by digital technology, to change the way people feel about insurance. We hope that our efforts will eventually contribute to the improvement of financial literacy and inclusion, thus, improving Indonesia’s economic growth,” Rudi concluded.
