Denpasar, 19 August 2016 – PT FWD Life Indonesia (“FWD Life”) today launches its presence in Bali with an open invite to the Balinese people to join FWD Life in an outdoor gymnastic and fitness event, #UnstoppableEnergy at Taman Lalu Lintas, Denpasar. Every calorie burned by the participants will be multiplied by Rp 100 by FWD Life and the company will then donate to the development of the public outdoor sports facility at Taman lalu Lintas.
The event marks the opening of FWD Life’s first marketing office outside Java, in Denpasar, Bali. The expansion into Bali is part of the company’s strategy to realize its aspiration to touch one million Indonesians by 2017. The marketing office will support FWD Life agents in the region, with training programs, sales support and digital technology. .

Denpasar represents FWD Life’s fifth new marketing office since [date], following the opening of Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and Bandung marketing offices. By opening in Denpasar, FWD Life hopes the city will act as a gateway to reach the Balinese people, with a total population of 4.104.900 on the island. FWD Life aims to help improve insurance penetration in the area with only 20% of Bali residents insured according to Financial Services Authority (OJK) statistics in 2015.
Rudi added, “With an underserved market such as Bali, we hope our digital approach will enable better accessibility to insurance for all Balinese people.. By prioritizing digital innovation, and providing more intensive agent training programs enhanced with technology, FWD Life will come to the market with an enhanced offering for customers.
